First off: the longer sentences are kinda hard to read! I know you don't know much kanji or katakana, but since they are essential for seperating words, you might want to divide them with spaces until you get to learning those things. It makes things a lot easier to read.

A few of the kana are written incorrectly, but they're still readable. Most noticably the 「な」(na) and 「私」(watashi). Also, the "wa" particle should be written down as 「は」. Memorizing the stroke order (wich is if you ask me not that hard to do) is a very good way of memorizing the Hiragana.

A very neat trick to learning vocabulary is by making weird sentences. Throw together some words you know that don't have much to do with each other and make a sentence out of it. It's been a great way for me, so that's something to consider.
